The last few days, I’ve been waking up feeling quite low and anxious with the occasional cry in the shower. Every time I felt so unmotivated looking at the day in front of me, but after a couple of hours, after writing for a bit and doing my usual check on my veggie garden, I started to feel a lot more upbeat. Spending time outside, watching my plants grow and all the small creatures around is one of the most soothing activities for me. Other than that writing, going for walks, or dancing to some good jams 🌿🌲🐝💃🏽📝

Thanks for sharing this post, living in a tidy and clean home is so important to me as it helps me feel more clear mentally as well. I used to dread certain household chores but these days I enjoy them quite a lot and view them as a spiritual practice. Do you know the book ‘A monk’s guide to a clean house and mind’? Highly recommend it as it touches on a similar topic. We don’t have control over most of what happens in the world but we do have control over our home. So it’s a good place to start ✨

Mmm yes I completely agree with your sentiments Katrina and I too find myself turning to the home & garden for comfort when my mind is a mess. Pulling weeds takes the cake as the best free therapy there is! That or a long walk in the wild. 💚

Long walk in the wild! Absolutely yes!! I have a piece of garden that is perennially overgrown with cobbler's pegs and lamb's quarters. It feels so good to get in there with gusto and rip out the weeds. I feed them to the chickens and the cows. Everyone wins!
