Welcome to The Apple & Radish Chronicles: Where Handmade Meets Homegrown. Here I help you create comfort, joy and meaning in your home - one simple cottagecore project at a time. ๐ท๐ก๐ผ
This newsletter is created with love and fine bone china teacups as a sanctuary for the ones whose heads (and hearts) are hurting from our hectic, concrete paved, plastic choked, nature destroying ways.
Here youโll find inspiration, delight and confirmation that creating a cozy haven for yourself and your family is worth the effort (imperfections and mess included) and most of all to LOVE your home! ๐ก ๐
ABOUT ME
Iโm Katrina - a mother to four young people, maker of soap, sauerkraut and sewing mess. My husband and I have raised our children in our blue cottage on our small acreage property on Tamborine Mountain, Australia for the last 20 years. All while growing vegetables and fruit trees, keeping chickens, milking a cow (briefly), and making stuff - also running a local boutique law firm!
My handmade soap & skincare business (Apple & Radish) was a cult favourite and now, as I approach my 50th birthday, Iโm called to take more time to tend our home and food gardens, stock the pantry, sew my own clothes and reignite the joy and satisfaction that comes from tending the home and making things by hand - with intention and love.
Tending home can be one of the greatest joys of life and can also be the source of great frustration and stress. Iโm here to encourage you to find joy and satisfaction in your home, know that itโs a worthwhile and honourable pursuit, not only for the joy, peace and contentment it brings you and your family but for the ripple effect it has out onto the world. ๐
